Opus Office Tower - Dubai, UAE

Dubai, UAE. oh yea..this boom city quite sometime ago was a heaven for designers, architects and engineers - it like some kind of place for the creative people throw-out their extreme-crazy ideas that never been in mind before.
Opus Office Tower is the mixed-used commercial and retail complex formed a large cube that appears to hover off the ground, althought the design in fact consists of three separate towers 93 m high. A freely formed void cuts into these volumes, while the ground floor is developed as a transparent open field with multiple pathways that are drawn into the interior of the plan areas within the two separate lobbies. The void is lit from within at night, in a sense reversing the volumetric appearence of the building. Pixelated striations are to be applied to the glass facade reducing solar gain and giving it a degree of reflectivity and materiality. The architect explain that, "it is clear that from its inception this concept seeks interconnectedness and uniqueness. "
The continuity of the interior design with exterior forms is expressed here in a relatively restrained manner, and yet the whole flows from the exterior to the interior in an effortless continuum.Night lighting of the building and the contrast between its freely formed void and the actual buildings.

Be Neutral

Neutral color is a colors of very low saturation. They are not seen on most color wheels. The group of neutral color is black, white, grey, brown, beige anf tans. They can be made by mixing as well and included in the color family called earth tones.

People do associate color with meaning. It is not the colors themselves, it is that we have culturally assigned meaning to them. Ok, what neutral meaning for us.

Let's choose black- Black is mysterious, providing a sence of potential and possibility. Well, there is a statement saying that black is not a color. It is the absence of all color. Black, and its opposite white, represent polarities. Black absorbs all aspects of light. While white reveals and the black conceals. It has come to mean hidden, fearful or bad experience. It is linked to the unknown or the unseen. Hemmm... Let's see the positive side of black. Elegance, sophistication, formality, power, strength, night. Black is seen as a restful emptines into which anything may emerge and disappear once again.

What about form? Sure.. So much good about black in form. The black leather seat. The black car. The black dinning set. The black console table etc... It looks elegant and stylish. It represents wealthy.

Well, whatever it is, for me, black can be matched with others. I am so comfortable when I'm wearing a black shirt because it can be match with my colored jeans, trousers and skirts. And it also makes me looks slim. That's the most important things... Haa...ha.. I believe everybody do agree with me.
Lets talk about grey.. Conservatism, traditionalism, inteligence, serious, dull, unintersting, Its energy imparts void, emptiness, lack of movement. Can be restful. It has a detached and isolated feeling. Grey can have a cooling effect when placed next to other more vibrant colors. It has a stabilizing effect, making vibrant color stand out while muting their vibration. Ok...Let's play a bit of Retro style in white, black, grey and brown. It is interesting isn't it?What brown represent to - relaxing, confident, casual, reassuring, nature, earthy, solid, reliable, genuine, endurance. Brown says stability and approachability. It is the color of our earth and is associated with all things natural or organic. Brown can mix into many surroundings. It is a mixture of red, blue and yellow and has many shades and tones - each producing a different effect. Brown can be stabilizing color. The red in brown gives it practical energy while the yellow and blue add mental focus energies. Too much brown can make a dull effect. Brown gives a feeling of solidity, and allows one to stay in the background, unnoticed. And white.....is the color of purity. Cleanliness, newness, virginity, peace, innocence, simplicity, sterility. Another statement saying, white is also not a color but the manifestation of the presence of all color - the complete energy of light. It stands for wholeness and completion. White has acold quality. It can provide clarity as its energy is complete. white has purification vibrations and can be used to clear blocks from your path.
Hmm...This is what I read, I think and I write. Up to you to absorbing in your mind or you might have own opinion. Only one thing that made a thought. How would life be without COLORS!.....

Let's Talk Pastel

Oh..yeaaa... Pastel is my favourite color and always be my choice especially when I'm talking about home. No specific but any pastel is my darling. Green pastel, blue pastel anything that pastel I'm talking about...The meaning of pastel is having pale delicate colors. It's also definition as similar colored, colorful colored, having color or a certain color and somethimes used in combination.Pastel is very compromise - if I'm talking about design and decoration, pastel can go-in with whatever element around it. As it is not strong, the element around seems to be visible and seen. That's the pretty of pastel. If I'm talking about art and painting, pastel is very forgiving. If you make a mistake you can easily lift the pigment, when you are finally happy with your work, you can fix it in place.

What About Red

Red is a group of Primary color. It is a color of fire and blood, so it is associated with energy, war, anger, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire and love. Be brave to play around with this color. As long you put it together with light basic nuetral like white, it should be fine. You also should have an appropriate areas that wide enough to make this strong color take place because red is a color that can shrink your space.
